‘Brazil average’ closes at BRL 2.6474/liter

Cepea, August 6, 2025 – Cepea surveys show that milk prices closed at BRL 2.6474/liter on the “Brazil average” in June.

Players continue to indicate that the supply is currently higher than the demand, which tends to press down quotations. The Cepea Milk Production Index (ICAP-L) moved up 3.31% from May to June (“Brazil average”). The increase is explained by the fact that producers have been investing more in the activity.

Cepea research indicates that, despite the 0.35% increase of the Effective Operational Cost (EOC) in June on the “Brazil average”, prices of inputs related to animal nutrition dropped 0.37%.

Note: There has been an exceptionality in the Index calculation in June due to a sampling change.
